Aqua Therapy for Rehabilitation
The duration of intensive one-to-one therapy is based
on age, ability, strength, motivation and type of condition
requiring treatment. For these reasons, we offer a variety
of program levels, services and classes.
Pre-beginner: Orientation (one-to-one),
Group Rehab and education in the water, introducing the
basic "moves" and relaxation techniques. Confidence
and comfort in the water determine progression. In-pool
massage may be booked at this level.
Beginner: Specific "moves"
(exercises) include warm up, stretches and introduction
to self-responsibility in relaxation techniques. Introduction
to core stabilization. In-pool chiropractic may be
introduced at this level (If requested).
Intermediate Group: Specific
conditioning, endurance/strengthening "moves" in
addition to core stabilization. Massage
and chiropractic may continue as needed.
Advanced Group: More intense conditioning "moves" (may
include a cardiovascular component) in addition to all
of the previous program
components.
Maintenance: A session of classes to
get ready for community based programs. This
allows the participant to safely integrate into an appropriate
community class. We also offer Maintenance classes as
part of Water Moves.

Clinical treatment services are available (by referral)
beyond program completion.
