Attention Medical Practitioners
Water Moves allows medical practitioners an opportunity
to prescribe an appropriate exercise/conditioning program
which is monitored for intensity and progression.
Early intervention is critical to the successful
management of most health conditions.
Types Of Therapy Specialties
Post
MVA Therapy
Please check out our information regarding the treatment
of MVA injuries.
Aqua Therapy (our AET - Aquatic Exercise Therapy program)
is considered
an adjunct therapy for the purpose of the NEW insurance
reform policy (Bill 53). If, in your opinion, it is considered
necessary for the treatment or rehabilitation of the patient’s
injury, we can provide appropriate therapy both in the
water
and in a clinical setting.
Pre/Post Hip and Knee surgery
No need for your patient
to sit and wait for their call
to have replacement or major orthopedic surgery.
Non-weight bearing activity in our supervised Aqua Exercise
Therapy program allows for a better Post-surgery
outcome and recovery. We encourage a return to aqua-therapy
as soon as the incision has been healed.
Water Moves provides a gentle, less intimidating
environment for Rehab. Extra warm water is therapeutic
and the hydrostatic
pressure improves circulation to all injured areas of the
body.
Do you know? Swimming laps is NOT recommended
for patients with neck, back or knee pain.
Aqua Therapy in an upright/postural position is a more appropriate
water activity and should be supervised in the early stages
of recovery.
Specializing In Fibromyalgia/Chronic
Fatigue/Myofasical Pain Rehab
FM/CFS and Myofasical Pain Rehab has been one of
our most successful programs, since 90° - 94° degree
water is most suitable (for therapy) for this group of
patients.
See the description
of our program for specific details of this program. |
